Lady Lucy is worried about the possibility of war that is facing her Kingdom. She proposes a visit, with Dillon the Dragon and Tapestry the Unicorn, to Canalshire, the county ready for war. The idea of this visit scares her family and the other knights, all of whom wonder whether she will be injured or killed on her quest for peace. But, when she is finally allowed to leave and arrives in the foreign county, Lady Lucy discovers how to prevent war and at the same time help both her Kingdom and the neighboring county. Again, as she has done before, she saves people, animals and precious homelands.

“In Lady Lucy’s Peace Quest, the fourth installment of Karen Gross’s Lady Lucy’s Quest series, the brave young knight faces her most important challenge yet—preventing war. When rumors of an attack from neighboring Canalshire spread through her kingdom, the other knights prepare for battle. But Lady Lucy believes there’s a better way.
With her loyal companions, Dillon the Dragon and Tapestry the Unicorn, she sets out on a courageous journey to uncover the truth behind the conflict and search for peace. Along the way, Lucy proves that courage isn’t just about wielding swords and armor—it’s about listening, understanding, and finding solutions that protect both people and lands. Through kindness, creativity, and determination, Lady Lucy shows that peace is always worth fighting for.
Lady Lucy’s Peace Quest is a heartwarming and inspiring story that teaches children the true meaning of bravery. Instead of rushing to war, Lady Lucy reminds us all that listening, compassion, and problem-solving can change the course of history. Karen Gross does a wonderful job weaving together adventure, fantasy, and meaningful lessons about peace and leadership.
Children will love following Lady Lucy, Dillon the Dragon, and Tapestry the Unicorn on their journey through forests, kingdoms, and unexpected friendships. This book is not only entertaining but also delivers an important message about empathy and courage that resonates with readers of all ages. A must-read for classrooms, families, and anyone who believes in the power of peace.”

“A book that will inspire and empower all young children. More than just a children’s book – Lady Lucy will warm your heart and open a great discussion with your children about endurance, strength and courage. “I have an 8 year old son with a very active imagination. It was just a few years ago he refused to leave home without his cape and Thor hammer-grocery shopping, even at my sister’s wedding (she let him have it walking down the aisle in suit and tie) because he would say he needs it at all times “….just in case”. It was a game and he did it, not due to any anxiety, but because he was a little ham and loved the attention he’d get when stopped and asked about his ‘costumes’. Kids have wild imaginations and Lady Lucy’s Quest is for all of the children who dream big.”
“The story is about a young girl who wants to be a night in the Middle Ages. Quest after quest, Lady Lucy must prove her worthiness to join the Knights of the Round Table. But will her unusual and unique solutions to each hurdle and obstacle thrown in her path lead her to success? This delightful book demonstrates the importance of pursuing one’s dreams and is sure to inspire kids that they CAN achieve what might seem to be impossible!”
